Volunteer Opportunities

After cuts to its funding in 2017, the Alberta Innovates program wasn't able to provide nearly as many scholarships to Health Sciences grads hoping to pursue research and careers in technology. The program did suffer a $20 million reduction, but Alberta remains the province to provide the most per-capita funding for research in Canada. If you love music and relish the opportunity to try your hand at critical work when new records are released, this might just be up your alley! Some examples of assignments you could do at the photo section are: A dramatic photo essay about waiting in line for Panda Express, photos of the workspace of a local denim-making company, a portrait of a university researcher, photo coverage of a golf tournament, walking around campus to ask people questions and take their photo, or diddling around the Gateway office and not taking any photos at all.If you're interested in taking this pitch, email [email protected]
