With the school year starting back up, so is the Gateway photo section! If any of the following pitches interest you, feel free to email me to get some more details.There aren't many today since this week's articles are still coming in, but there will be some more at the first photo meeting as well as in next week's pitch email. Also make sure to check out the stuff I've linked at the bottom of this email.

A Brief Photo Guide

Unsure about what you're supposed to do as a photo volunteer? Don't know what a "pitch" is? Worry not! Check out this quick guide that covers the basics of the Gateway's photo section. If you read the photo guide last year, this one has some new info in light of COVID-19.

I will also go over this guide at the first photo meeting.

Photo Meeting Times

Speaking of the first photo meeting, the time and day of this semester's photo meetings will be determined by your responses to the linked poll. Please fill out the times you'd be able to attend photo meetings!Photo meetings will often have important info about subsequent meetings, workshops, and events. It will also be the first look (so you can get first pick) of the photo pitches every week!

Virtual Open House

Whether you are a new or returning volunteer to the Gateway, you should come to the virtual open house! It will be held on September 8th at 5PM.

You'll have an opportunity to meet with our staff, get in-depth information about The Gateway and its operations during COVID-19, and learn how you can join our team of writers, illustrators, designers, and photographers. - event page
