Photo Pitches!

Hello shutterbugs! It's time for photo pitches!See the pitches below. As always, let me know if you're interested in any of the pitches and feel free to ask for more details about the pitches. Reminder that there is NO photo meeting during reading week.

SU Elections time is nearly here and The Gateway needs your help! Elections are a busy time for the photo section because every forum needs to be photographed and filmed. You can take a look back at our coverage from last year to get a better sense of all the things we do during this time: https://thegatewayonline.ca/2019/02/uasu-election-cheatsheet-2019/This year's schedule:

  • Feb 24th (Lister - the Marina) [5pm]

  • Feb 26th (SUBStage/Atrium #1) [12pm] + Augustana [5pm]

  • Feb 27th (SUBStage/Atrium #2) [12pm]

  • Feb 28th (CSJ) [2pm]

  • Mar 2nd (“Myer Horowitz”/SUBStage) [12pm]

  • Mar 6th, 6pm - Results night [Dewey’s] 

If you are able to make any of these events and photograph candidates or film stuff, let me know, I would definitely appreciate it! 

General things: 

  • Sports: We have media passes for UofA sporting events if you are interested in shooting any games and making some photo stories

  • Photo stories: If you ever have ideas for your own photo stories (e.g. concerts, events, plays, other photo series that have a theme), feel free to pitch them to me!
