Quick update and some opinion pitches!
Hi all, Emily here!I will be the Gateway's Opinion Editor for the 2021/22 school year and I couldn't be more excited! For those of you who are new to this email list, welcome to the Gateway opinion section! I had a great time talking to some of you at clubs fair last week. For those who are not new, I can't wait to start running some section meetings and to catch up with you all! Here's the rundown for this school year:This year, we will continue to hold section meetings on Tuesdays at 4pm, only they will be in-person (yay!). There will be an additional online meeting afterwards at 5pm for those who are unable to do in-person at this time. However, there will be no section meeting this week because the Gateway is hosting an open house today! To come to our in-person open houses at 11am, 4pm and 7pm, sign up here! There will also be an online open house at 7pm that can also be accessed through that link. These will be a great place to learn more about the different sections that Gateway has to offer and to just get to know our team of staff and volunteers! Finally, if you're just looking for a pitch for this week, look below! Just reply with which one you'd like and what your take on it will be. And as always, feel free to send me a pitch of your own!You can reach me anytime at [email protected] or over Slack!Talk to you all soon!Emily
