Trump wants to end birthright citizenship
. For those who don't know, birthright citizenship entails that as long as you're born on the soil of a state, you get citizenship there. Trump says he wants to axe this kind of citizenship out of fear of "anchor births," and also falsely claimed that the US is the only place in the world with birthright citizenship (30 other countries, including Canada, have it as well).

This comes from a

Digital poppies are available now
These work essentially the same as a regular poppy, only that they're
can be shared, and can also be customized to be dedicated to a specific individual. The Legion said that they wished to do this as a way to get younger people involved in the practice of poppy-donations.

Apu reportedly being dropped from The Simpsons
While the studio that produces the show has refused to comment, many insiders have said that Apu will be
after the controversy that arose over the stereotyping of his character. Is this the right way to deal with the situation the Simpsons producers find themselves in?

Bolsonaro elected in Brazil
AH YES, the Brazilian elections have come and gone, and the new president,
, is here. He's been compared to Rodrigo Duterte, the president of the Philippines, which I would say is pretty horrifying. Also, CBC wrote this
about how a basically authoritarian leader will open up markets for Canada, which is supposed to be a good thing? oof.
