Hear ye, hear ye! Opinion pitches are here!
Hey y'all!I hope everybody is enjoying the start of fall! Today was the first really chilly day, and I'm so excited for fall to really set in. And if you love free movies (I mean, who doesn't?), come check out Everything, Everywhere All at Once showing at the Metro theatre this Wednesday at 6:45! It'll be The Gateway's first instalment of Metro to Cinema in two years! All you need to do is bring your student ID card, and you get in for free.And, just as a reminder, The Gateway office is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., so feel free to stop by! With that, here are this week's pitches! Just let me know which one you'd like and what your take on it will be. Albertans don't get a holiday to commemorate the passing of Queen Elizabeth While other provinces got the day off yesterday to mourn Queen Elizabeth II's death, Albertans were sad to find out they still had to go to work. Do you think it's a shame Albertans didn't get the day off yesterday? Or, do you feel like it really isn't that big of a deal, and we should just keep going?

Regional transit in the works in Edmonton Starting in Spring 2023, Edmonton City Council will begin expanding regional transit. Many are upset that the city is focusing on transit outside Edmonton before solving our own transit issues first, like over-crowded buses and the delayed Valley Line LRT.
