Hey y'all!It's the start of another great week nearing the end of the Fall term ... I hope you are all staying sane and organized! 🤓Just a quick reminder that on November 28, we’re holding a General Meeting at 4 p.m. in place of our pitch meeting.If you’ve written more than three articles, you’ll get to vote on a new volunteer representative. Even if you haven’t, come on down! After the meeting, we’ll end with the pitches, then head over to Dewey’s for a quick social!As well, Metro Cinema is showing Elvis as the next Gateway to Cinema tomorrow, November 23, at 6:30 p.m.. Because the FIFA World Cup is being hosted by Qatar, some games will be as early as 7:30 a.m.. Because of this, Alberta Gaming, Liquor, and Cannabis is allowing bars to start serving alcohol as early as 5:30 a.m.. Talk about how this will impact soccer culture in Edmonton, and whether or not you think bars on campus, like Dewey’s and RATT, should do this!

In an effort to combat rising COVID-19 cases, UWaterloo has reintroduced its mask mandate. As well, the U of A Staff Association has requested that the U of A bring back mandatory masking.

 

Should the U of A bring back its mask mandate, as respiratory illnesses run rampant on campus? Or, is it time to let COVID-19 go once and for all?

Transit inaccessibility is a major concern for EdmontoniansMany Edmonton residents are upset after seeing City Council's base budget, which does not include funding for On Demand transit. This news comes shortly after announcements that the Valley Line LRT will be delayed for another 4 years. How will this impact transit accessibility for students and faculty in Edmonton?

After midterms, students are familiar with answering the term's USRI surveys that allow students to give feedback on class content, exams, and professors' teaching styles. Do you think that this is a useful feedback tool to improve classes? Or should UAlberta consider alternate modes of exam feedback like eClass polls?

Through exam season, students enjoy the company and comfort of wellness dogs that are brought onto campus to alleviate stress. Write about how wellness animals on campus improve mental health and promote community-building during midterm and finals season!
