Wow, we're almost done...

What a wild ride it has been! And you know what that means? Next week's meeting is our VERY LAST OF THE YEAR! YES! To celebrate all the amazing work you folks have done over the year, we're gonna be holding our very last meeting in RATT! We'll get food and drinks, hang out, talk pitches, and just have a good time. I'll also buy you guys food of some sort if you come, so if that's not incentivizing, I don't know what is! Some other updates: we did the Getaway meeting yesterday to brainstorm satirical fun topics for thext edition of The Getaway! If you weren't able to make it and wanna contribute, here's the link to a doc with all our pitches. Feel free to add your own and/or claim as many as you'd like! Put your name beside any pitch you take. Deadline for Getaway stuff is Friday night! Just send your stuff to me.Also, the Gateway Photo and Art show is happening tomorrow night at Cafe Mosaics! Art and photography from contributors and staff will be displayed there, where you can celebrate it, meet some of the people who contributed, and also get food and drinks! Come on down and celebrate some of the work done in the magazine and elsewhere! Other than that, here's some good ol' pitches. Deadlines are Friday at 5pm! Changing age?

Last year, some goon in Holland wanted to

change his legal age

so that it would be easier for him to date and get jobs. He lost his court case, to no one's surprise.

But now there's a University of Oslo scholar who wrote about the practical applications of changing legal age, as well as where hard limits should be set. Seems pretty interesting and a LARGE can of worms that would be fun to crack open.

Jodie Wilson-Raybould has been kicked out of the Liberal caucus.

She's also stripped of her guaranteed nomination for her riding in the 2019 election. The SNC-Lavalin scandal continues to be a flaming dumpster fire.
