Hey everyone! Damian here!As always, it was wonderful seeing everyone at our section meeting yesterday and sharing our spring/summer plans! End of semester retrospect

With the end of Winter semester approaching, there are some things about online learning to look back at. A number of factors unaddressed by the university administration have made learning remotely more difficult. Among them are online participation, group projects across time zones, and exam proctoring. What does the university have to change before the next academic year? House committee hearings on sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces ended early by Liberals

On Monday the Liberals and Bloc Québécois passed a motion through the House of Commons to end the House committee hearings on sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces. This took place without hearing from all of the witness testimonies. The Liberals claim they have already heard enough from the testimonies. The Canadian Hockey League announced that the 2021 Western Hockey League (WHL) Memorial Cup has been canceled. Is this somehow associated to the growing COVID-19 cases in the National Hockey League? Laurentian University fires professors and cuts programs

Laurentian University in Ontario has cut over 60 undergraduate and graduate programs, along with firing dozens of professors due to insolvency issues. This is clearly a massive blow to Laurentian students, staff, and faculty. The province of Ontario faces the same issues of cuts to post-secondary as Alberta does. What needs to be done so that other universities are not affected? Give us your take on the issue with this pitch!
