U of A land development project 

In the new year, UAlberta will seek approval from city council for land development on the former Michener Park site, among others. The proposed project will consist of mixed-use housing and is intended to produce revenue for university teaching and research. Is this project a good use of this land? Should universities be in the land development business?

The Oilers buy Boyle Street 

Oilers Entertainment Group (OEG) has bought the Boyle Street building and have donated some of the needed funds to help the organization buy a new building a few blocks North of the old site. Write about downtown Edmonton gentrification, and the perks of the potential new building.
