WELCOME BACK STUDENT JOURNALISTS

It's time to start the winter semester!I hope you all had a restful and wholesome winter break; I know I did! I hope you all are also at least a little bit excited for classes to start again. It sucks to have to go back, but it's also great to jump back into the fray and keep expanding that brain. After tallying all the votes in the doodle poll, our section meeting time will stay the same: Tuesdays at 4pm! Given this, our first section meeting of the winter semester will be this Tuesday, January 8, at 4pm. We'll be doing a normal sort of meeting with pitches and the like in order to get back into the swing of things. I hope to see you all there! In other news, I've just returned from NASH, the annual Canadian student journalism conference! I learned so much valuable knowledge from the workshops there, which I hope to share with you in future workshops and presentations! Some things to look forward to include finding and crafting great pitches, some updated opinion style and writing tips, and more. Anyways, that's all from me for now. I'm super excited to see you all, work with you again, and pump out another semester's worth of awesome opinion content!
