Hello everyone!!!Thank you to everyone who came out to the pitch meeting and stuck around for a fun game of Uno! It was nice seeing you all! Here are the pitches left after the meeting! Let me know if you would like to pick up a pitch or if you have any questions! News pitches 

  • Both dead and alive, trees are an important ally for farmers in helping the environment, a new University of Alberta study shows.

  • Dan Riskin, U of A alumnus and former host of the Canadian television series Daily Planet, will be featured in Science Talks on U of A days

  • U of A lab is working with three newly created American research centres to identify drugs to fight viruses with the potential to cause outbreaks or the next pandemic 

  • The U of A has added a new role, vice president (enterprise).

  • Six U of A students have been awarded the Schulich Leader Scholarship, awarded annually to 50 students embarking on undergraduate studies in STEM in Canada. 

  • Five U of A researchers have joined the Royal Society of Canada.
