Happy Monday!

I hope everyone had a great week back and everyone is getting back into the swing of things!!

Excuse my bad pun, I was trying to think of making music joke because pitch is also a musical term, but we this is all I could think of! This was my favourite movie as a child though, so I'm always here for a Julie Andrews throwback!

Anyways, here are some of the pitches I've put together for the week! As usual, these will be due this Friday around 6 pm! If you want to take a story but need more time, let me know and we can work out a different deadline!

  • AI pilot project in Drayton Valley aims to make water treatment greener, more efficient and less expensive.

  • Émilie Robertson, a medical resident and master’s grad developed virtual tools to help surgeons correct skull defects in babies.

  • Five U of A researchers are on the latest list of the most highly cited researchers in their fields! You can interview one of the researchers who made this list!

  • U of A physicist Robert Wolkow honoured with an international award for nanotechnology.

  • The U of A Engineering faculty has started a head-shaving drive to fight cancer! It starts December 1st!

  • As a researcher and volunteer, PhD grad Maxine Myre is helping remove the burden of weight stigma that can prevent people from getting the benefits of physical fitness.
