  • Mattieu Figeys, a PhD candidate in the faculty of rehabilitation medicine is part of a research team examining the effects and potential applications of transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS), the attachment of electrodes to a patient's scalp.

  • John England, an earth and atmospheric sciences professor, was invested into the Order of Canada. England was honoured for his five decades of arctic science research.

  • An alliance of government leaders, Indigenous leaders, academic leaders, and economic development leaders have come together to create Canada’s first hydrogen HUB in Edmonton in an effort to spur the Edmonton Region’s hydrogen economy and ensure economic competitiveness as the world looks toward a low-carbon future. These include leaders from the U of A!

  • ISGlobal concluded that adults with asthma are more likely to become obese later in life. Subhabrata Moitra, a post-doctoral fellow in the University of Alberta’s Division of Pulmonary Medicine, carried out this research.
