Hey everybody, Areeha here!Happy Pi Day everyone! Thank you for waiting patiently to resume pitch meetings and pitch emails! Now that we're back in-person, in-person pitch meetings will be every Monday at 4 PM, and online pitch meetings will be at 5 PMWhen coming to the office, please refer to the university's policies surrounding COVID-19. However, we would still highly encourage you to wear a mask if you're coming in person! 

Here are News pitches for the week:

  • Convocation is in-person this year! Interview graduating students on how they feel about this!

  • As of March 16th, the U of A will drop the mask mandate. Interview students on how they feel about this.

  • Similarly, since on March 16th the U of A will drop the mask mandate, interview U of A professors on how they feel about this. 

  • U of A research aims to fill a knowledge gap and help women with Type 1 diabetes live longer and healthier lives.

  • Join U of A doctors Adrian Wagg and Evangelos Michelakis in their talk about targeting aging as a disease. This is on Friday March 18, 8-9 AM

  • A new research collab between the U of A and TeejLab Inc is investigating how to identify & categorize application programming interfaces (APIs).

  • Researchers at the U of A are studying mountain pine beetles and what their developing resilience to the cold will mean for Alberta. 

  • Dr. Qutuba Karwi from the FoMD has been honoured with the U of A Award for Outstanding Mentorship in Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities!
