  • U of A research team reports a common clot-busting drug used in people suffering from a heart attack, is a safe and effective treatment for those in midst of acute ischemic stroke.

  • Riya Ganguly will be the U of A's first Associate Vice-President Enterprise, where she will lead a new Strategic Partnership Office for the university.

  • Chris Cairo, a chemistry professor, and his research team found that a group of enzymes could offer clues to understanding inflammation and eventually finding new ways of treating it.

  • U of A students are working with the Indigenous Sport Council of Alberta to turn survey data into meaningful solutions.

  • The U of A, University of Calgary, and University of Lethbridge have formed a Quantam City Partnership, to create a hub that accelerates progress in quantum technology. This hub received $23 million in funding from the Government of Alberta announced today.

  • A research team led by a University of Alberta scholar has received nearly $2.5 million in new federal funding for a national research project aimed at reforming the Canadian justice system.

  • Sustain SU's Campus Community Garden has opened up again! Interview someone from the garden on this!

  • Cree educator and researcher Dwayne Donald is one of the U of A's nine newest Canada Research Chairs, he will explore locally rooted Indigenous knowledge in teacher education.

  • U of A Sports Wall of Fame announces first-ever all-Panda induction class. Inductees include three Panda athletes and one Panda dynasty team.

  • Swimming Alumna Keltie Duggan has been inducted into the Canada West Hall of Fame.
