Announcements

AGM:

Our Annual General Meeting is on April 28th at 6PM! It will include:

  • Informing members about general Gateway happenings and future plans

  • Changes to bylaw

  • Electing volunteer board reps

  • Social event and awards!

Please stop by, we would love to have you!! The actual AGM will be virtual, but the social afterwards will be in-person!

The Gateway is hiring editorial staff for the upcoming school year! Check out the job postings tab of our website to see those job postings. Feel free to reach out to me or any other staff member if you have questions about the application process.Many of the job postings close tomorrow (April 19th), so make sure to submit your applications ASAP!

  • The Muslim Students’ Association and Ansar Youth Association is hosting iftar on April 23rd for Ramadan! Interview the organizers behind this event!

  • U of A researchers have been able to accurately identify people with PTSD through text data alone.

  • An international panel of experts, including a U of A researcher, released the first ever series of evidence-based ergonomic recommendations with focus on movement and screen time.

  • UAlberta scholars and medical students are striving to provide safer, more inclusive care for transgender patients.
