Make sure to take breaks while studying!Announcements: No pitch meetings until further notice:We will not be having any more pitch meetings, though pitch emails will be going out as per usual. Information on potential pitch meetings during the Spring and Summer terms will likely be coming some time in May, so keep an eye on your inbox for that!AGM: Our Annual General Meeting will be on April 28th at 6PM! It will include:

  • Informing members about general Gateway happenings and future plans

  • Changes to bylaw

  • Electing volunteer board reps

  • Social event and awards!

  • A University of Alberta researcher is drilling down to the microscopic level to improve how carbon dioxide (CO2) is stored and safely absorbed underground.

  • The Non-Academic Staff Association conducted an online survey of NASA members to collect feedback about how they are feeling about the U of A for Tomorrow (UAT) and SET restructuring and whether they have been impacted by the changes. Interview a NASA executive on this!

  • A paleontology professor at the U of A is also a published poet! Interview him on his work, and find out more about the intersection of these two disciplines!

  • U of A researchers have been able to accurately identify people with PTSD through text data alone.

  • An international panel of experts, including a U of A researcher, released the first ever series of evidence-based ergonomic recommendations with focus on movement and screen time.

  • UAlberta scholars and medical students are striving to provide safer, more inclusive care for transgender patients.
