News Meeting! Jan 18

News meeting today at 4:30 pm!

Hello News Team!I hope everyone had a restful weekend after the first week back! Just a friendly reminder that this Friday, January 22nd, is the drop/add deadline! So, if you're thinking of changing courses or dropping that one dreaded class, keep this in mind! For my friends who are graduating this year, remember that the deadline to apply for graduation is February 1st! Also, a reminder that news meetings have moved to 4:30- 5:30 pm!  

I think we can all remember sitting in some high school class anticipating another boring lesson when your teacher turns on the smartboard and you see it in all of its beauty: KAHOOT!

Time to take a trip down memory lane with some Kahoot! For this meeting, I've put together a Kahoot on news techniques we've talked about in previous meetings, some basic Gateway facts, and U of A related facts we should know for news coverage (but also some general U of A facts!). I thought this would be a fun way to review the topics we covered in our meetings last semester!

After we get through that, we can also play some general trivia Kahoot!

If you're a new volunteer or want to join the News Section, still feel free to join! Even if you're still new to news writing, this will be a great opportunity to get more familiar with these topics! Then I can always fill you in on anything you still have questions on :)

As always, we'll end the meeting with some sick pitches!
