News meeting at 4:30 pm today!

Hello News Team!First of all, Happy first day of Black History Month! Even though I think we should be engaging with Black history and culture all the time, having explicit celebrations are also super important! I'm looking forward to really covering all the Black History Month events happening on campus, as well as trying to really centre Black voices this month (though this is really a continuous goal of mine)! Hopefully, some of you will join me in covering all this!Also, today is the LAST DAY TO APPLY FOR GRADUATION!!! If you wanna "convocate" this spring (so basically watch a video on youtube and get mailed a grad cap) you should be applying today!Today's meeting will be back at 4:30 pm! Also, shout out to my Deputy News Editor Areeha for taking over the meeting last Monday when GFC went past 5 pm!!! She literally did it last minute and did a really great job!

Today's meeting will ACTUALLY be on active voice!! This is a very important grammatical tool for news writing!

This will be our introduction to the topic!

And, as per usual, we will finish the meeting with pitches! Lots of fun pitches to go through!
