Syrian theatre artists produce refugee play Hagar.

Aksem Alyousef and Amena Shehab are a husband and wife duo who are the co-founders of Alma Theatre, Edmonton's newest indie theatre companies. In Alyousef's play Hagar, Shehab stars as the titular character in a story of a woman fleeing war-torn Aleppo for safe harbour abroad. Theatre Network is rebuilding the Roxy Theatre!

In 2015, Theatre Network's venue, The Roxy, burnt down in an accidental fire. Interview Bradley Moss, Theatre Network's Artistic Director to learn more.
