Photo Pitches!

Hello everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your summer so far!

If you are interested in taking any of these photo assignments, send me an email or reply to this ([email protected]) and I will provide you with more information, set you up with the people you need to take photos of, etc.!

Here are the photo pitches for the upcoming week: 

  • Hot Pot

    • A photo of a hot pot meal!

  • Protecting Wildlife

    • This article focuses on bears in Canmore. If you somehow have taken a photo of bears in the Banff area in the past, it would fit the article perfectly!

  • U of A professor creates milk encyclopedia

    • This can include taking a photo of the professor we have interviewed or taking photos of milk!

  • Edmonton Eskimos lowering ticket prices

    • Since the Eskimos are not currently playing, you are welcome to share an existing photo you have taken of the Eskimos. I believe there are also ads about this in LRT stations so you can grab a photo of that too!

  • Bugs 101 MOOC

    • This can include taking photos of the professor who created the course or a photo of the course on your computer if you happen to be taking it!

  • Car Insurance

    • This article is about how car insurance is too expensive and you can be creative with this! It basically just needs a photo that encapsulates being broke or spending too much money.

Later on in the summer:

  • Edmonton Folk Festival

    • We can request some photo passes for Folk Fest and I have two spots left. If you are interested in concert/event photography and are available during August 8-11, let me know!

  • Other summer events

    • There are a lot of things going on in Edmonton during the summer (e.g. K-Days) and if you have any ideas about events you are interested in photographing, let me know and I can see if we could make a photo story out of it!
