COVID-19 and The Gateway News Section operations

Hello everyone! Due to COVID-19 precautions The Gateway will NOT be hosting any in-person meetings for the time being.

With that said, we are not shutting down. In fact, production will continue along as normal.

We will host online volunteer meetings and ensure that any interviews with sources for a story are conducted either online or over the phone.

There will be no News Section meeting today (March 16)

in-person or online (there is a COVID-19 press briefing at the same time!). 

Starting next week, on March 23 The Gateway will host a News Section online meeting.

 If you want to be involved in this, just reply to this email and I will ensure you are added to our volunteer Slack application where we will communicate and send links to the meeting.

I will still send out pitches as normal! And as like any week, if there is anything you want to write about feel free to pitch me.
