News Pitches!
Hi Friends!
Happy spooky/midterm season!
Before getting into pitches, I wanted to wish everyone good luck on their midterms!! I know this is a very stressful time, so make sure to take care of yourselves, especially with everything being online!
Here are some news pitches! These will be due next Friday, October 16th at 6 pm, or earlier in the week if you can! If you need an extended deadline, send me an email or Slack!
Profile Future Creators, a student group that provides engineering workshops and mentorship for students in grade 7-12
The AI4Society Signature Area just launched last week! Write an article about it and how students can get involved!
Wellness 101, a free course for U of A students, launched recently. It covers healthy living as students. Talk to the creators to get a preview of the course!
U of A Cell Bio professor is developing a new promising cancer drug!
U of A student discovers a new species of an ancient marine reptile through palaeontology!
The U of A opened The Glen Sather Sports Medicine Clinic, a free acute youth injury clinic! Talk to the director to learn more about the process behind opening the clinic!
A U of A prof was recently on TV for her research on how individuals with learning disabilities need social connections. It's also learning disability month, so an interview with her on this topic and this awareness month would be great!
