Enjoy the beautiful fall weather!

EIA Construction: The Edmonton International Airport is upgrading infrastructure, causing passenger drop-off and pick-up areas to be relocated. The airport has been encouraging passengers to come at least 15 minutes early, and no timeline for the upgrades has been released. Is this a necessary upgrade that Edmontonians should be looking forward to? Or is this a hassle to passengers, especially with Edmonton’s historical habit of construction work being delayed?
U of A’s new Strategic Plan: On September 19, the U of A announced their new 10-year strategic plan, called SHAPE, with seemingly little new information. Included in the plan are ideas to increase enrolment and boost the institution’s ranking. Is this plan addressing student concerns? Does this plan have feasible goals that will be reached, or is it all talk, no action from the university again? Read through the plan and give your thoughts!
UCP aiming to pull out of the CPP: The UCP has announced that they are making strides to pull Alberta out of Canada’s Pension Plan in order to move to a provincial-based pension plan. Would this be a positive change for Alberta or would this cause long-lasting harm to people’s pensions? Should Alberta move forward with this or remain in the CPP?
Burlap Sack - shorter fall days: The days have been getting shorter again as we head further into fall, with sunrise around 7:30 am and sunset around 7:30 pm. Dark morning routines and heading home from work after dusk are in the near future and rapidly approaching. Air your grievances in this article about shortening days!

Book Review: All the World's a Mall - By Rinny Gremaud
$24.99, University of Alberta Press
Newly released, “All the World’s a Mall details a whirlwind world tour in five stops: Edmonton, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Dubai, and Casablanca, chosen because they are home to some of the biggest malls on the planet. Cities within cities, these malls are wonderlands where visitors come from afar to: walk, eat, sleep, watch, swim, ride, photograph, and, of course, shop. With a curious, critical, and sometimes ironic eye, Swiss journalist Rinny Gremaud recounts her travels to and through these monstrous spaces of excess.”
