Open House sessions
(listed below). Y'all will be learning the bread and butter of each section, have a little tour of the office and get to know the editors (including me!). Don't hesitate to reach out and ask your questions :)

Check out Mural Massive 2022!
Grindstone's third mural painting festival is painting the town in many different colors! It's currently happening from Sep 3rd to Sep 10th around the Old Strathcona and Downtown areas. This would be a good photostory, especially if you visit the murals as they paint them. Here's a mural map in case you want to see them all!There's also a bunch of parties celebrating the festival this weekend. Here's an event schedule if you wanna check it out as well.

Check out the Edmonton Mountain Bike Festival!
Start your engines (or pedals) for the Edmonton Mountain Bike Festival happening this weekend (Sep 9-11) at Queen Elizabeth Park. There's lots of events and biking groups to join and write about but if you're not really a biker, doing a fun photostory of the events and the bikers are also an option. Visit the last night market of the season on Sep 9th (5 - 10pm) at the parking lot behind TD Bank (6655 178th Street). Besides being the founder of Shab-e She’r (Poetry Night), Toronto’s most diverse poetry reading and open mic series, she’s a poet, librettist, translator, teacher, editor, and poetry curator. Check out Shuffle: Artwork from the Nina Collective!
Shuffle is an exhibition by artists from The Nina Haggerty Centre for the Arts (the Nina) being displayed at the Art Gallery of Alberta. The Nina Collective includes nearly 200 artists with disabilities who work in painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, textile art, dance, and more.The exhibition's still new so let me know if you're interested in either reviewing the artworks and/or doing a photostory!
