Arts and Culture Pitches!

Have a blast with these A&C pitches!

Hello peeps!

Midterms season is ramping up for everyone so good luck and godspeed on y'all's tests, assignments, and reports. I know I'll have to buckle down on midterms every two weeks so it's (unfortunately) a never-ending cycle until Nov Reading Week. Don't forget to hydrate, sleep/nap, and eat good food!

We have two Gateway movie things coming up:

  • Gateway to Cinema, Get Out: Oct 26th, 7pm, Garneau Theatre

  • Halloween Movie Social, Coraline: Oct 31st, after weekly pitch meeting at 4pm, at the office

We also have a journalism workshop led by Madeline Smith Oct 17 (today!) at 4pm in the office!

We still have the cool Senior Volunteer Positions posted on the website, including the

. Applications for all positions will be accepted until

Fri Oct 21 at midnight

but it's recommended to submit them as soon as you can, especially since we would love to do the interviews in-person during the week.

Let me know what kind of pitches y'all are into (music reviews, book reviews, event reviews, holiday-related pitches, photostories, etc.) so I can streamline the pitch emails to y'all's preferences. For now, I'll include one of everything.

As always, check out the leftovers and new pitches for this week!

- Arthur :)

P.S. This week's workshop on Conclusions is in the

.

P.P.S. Illustration volunteer submissions are always open. Just send your art portfolio (preferably digital work) and a quick blurb about your art background to my email.
