Can you believe July is already almost over?! I can't... give me more summer please...
Sorry to everyone who tried to join the meeting today — it wouldn't work for some reason. Very odd considering it worked the exact same way two weeks ago... that'll get sorted eventually and I hope I didn't waste too much of anyone's time.
This week was supposed to be body parts puns themed but we might have gotten off on the wrong foot. Clearly I only have two leg jokes and one eye joke...

Recurring Columns:
The Hobby Hole: Tell us about any unique hobbies you have or give a fresh take on an old favourite. It could be a passion project or an activity you do when you want to lay back, unplug your brain, and watch the hours fly by.
Paddling up the Livestream: Wax lyrical about your favourite livestreams, put us onto some hidden-away gems, or give your hot-takes on livestream culture!

Check out Edmonton Folk Music Festival’s Hill at Home 2021Enjoy a weekend of music, art, food, and song at home from 6:00 pm Friday, August 6 through to midnight, Sunday, August 8. There will be highlights like the lantern parade on Friday, August 6 at 9:30 p.m.Interview someone before the event or review how it went!
POPOPOPOPOP is a soda co-designed by 6th grade students at John A. McDougall Elementary School, and it is on sale now! There are QR codes that link to sound files that inspired the students to make this “drinkable publication.”

Interview WarnerMedia Access Canada Writers Program’s Edmonton area finalists!The WarnerMedia Access Canada Writers Program aims to amplify underrepresented voices for mid-level writers. Two of the finalists — Berend McKenzie and Jay Cardinal Villeneuve, are from the Edmonton area! Both writers have history in film and television outside of writing.Let us know if you’d be interested in interviewing one/both of these finalists!
This installation at the gallery is a collection of dreams and wishes. It serves as a reminder that we can achieve what we put our minds to.
