Enough monkeying around! Here are your pitches for this week and if nothing strikes your fancy, feel free to pitch me an article idea!
Recurring Columns:
The Hobby Hole: Tell us about any unique hobbies you have or give a fresh take on an old favourite. It could be a passion project or an activity you do when you want to lay back, unplug your brain, and watch the hours fly by.
Paddling up the Livestream: Wax lyrical about your favourite livestreams, put us onto some hidden-away gems, or give your hot-takes on livestream culture!
The First Time: Try something totally new and write about your experience. It could be a cuisine you’ve heard great things about, an unfamiliar type of music, or an activity you've never tried before. Tell us about it all from the POV of a complete novice.

Sari-Sari, meaning "variety," Market, held by Sosyal Scoops, brings a selection of Filipinx goods to Edmonton! It will be held July 24 right by J. H. Picard School.

Interview Samira Hamana, who wrote "Where Are You Really From?"Hamana is an Edmonton writer who was driven to write "Where Are You Really From?" following racist attacks on Muslim women in Edmonton. The book helps children understand how to navigate differences and teaches acceptance. Let me know if you're interested in interviewing Hamana about her book!

This installation at the gallery is a collection of dreams and wishes. It serves as a reminder that we an achieve what we put our minds to.
