Hello peeps!
I hope everyone is getting through midterms, reading week is almost upon us!
Here's some announcements for the week:
Emily, Arthur, Katie from the Opinion section, and Lily from the News section will be flying to Hamilton for a conference from this Thu (16th) to Mon (20th) so they may not be able to email you back immediately during that time.
Our Gateway to Cinema screening of Top Gun: Maverick is next Fri on Feb 24, 6:45pm. You will get free tickets with a student ID (doesn't have to be UofA), and the Gateway staff will tabling before and after the show (come and say hi!).
Job postings are scheduled to go up in the coming weeks. Emily, our Editor-in-Chief, gave a presentation 2 weeks ago about the positions we'll be hiring for next year. If you have any questions about any of the positions, let Emily know via email ([email protected]) or come by the office to chat!

Event Review: Winefest EdmontonFebruary 24 & 25Edmonton Convention CentreSample a wide range of wine and hors d'ouerves at Edmonton Winefest! You will get the chance to try many pairings of wine with both sweet and savoury bites. The festival gives out door prizes, and has a partnership with the Edmonton Food Bank. Performance Review: NASA Conference: Saxophone ConcertsFeb 16 & 17 @ 7:30PM, Feb 18 @ 2:00PMConvocation HallThe North American Saxophone Alliance (NASA) is hosting three concerts as part of their regional conference. The first concert is Saxophone Solo and Chamber Works, the second Pillippe Lerous and other French composers, and the final show will be a Saxophone Concerti with the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the UofA Saxophone Ensemble. The concerts will feature players from across Western Canada.

This play is based on the real life story of the first Black heavyweight world champion Jack Johnson. Set in 1905, the main character Jay "The Sport" Jackson faces racism and fights for a place in sport history.

Exploring Edmonton: Do you know any cool places around Edmonton that people should visit? Write about them in this new series!
