Hey Arts pals! I know we're back on that virtual school grind, but hopefully you all got a chance to rest and recharge over Reading Week.I don't have too many announcements this week, expect that The Gateway recently launched an online store! Festival of Trees is moving online!The Festival of Trees is the University Hospitalās annual fundraiser, and it will be hosted online this year from November 20 to December 20. The money collected will go towards Alzheimerās research at the U of A. The festival will feature activities like virtual visits with Santa, story time with Mrs. Claus, Festival in a Box, and an online auction. Let me know if you would like to interview the festival organizers and spotlight this great community event!

Review the award-winning movie The ClimbThe Climb is a bittersweet dramedy about a ābromanceā told in seven chapters over a decade. The film was shot in stunning long takes and it won the Heart Prize at the 2019 Cannes Film Festival. It was released in Canada last week through Mongrel Media, and we have access to a virtual screener link. Let me know if you are interested in reviewing the movie and I can set that up for you! Profile new local artist Nina MahlSinger-songwriter-producer Nina Mahl just released her second single, āDigital Rush," a few months after her independently released debut "Not the Cure." With a style that draws from her pop, alt-R&B, soul, and electronic influences, Nina has quickly become a regular in the Edmonton and St. Alberta music scenes. The Edmonton Christmas Market is taking over the iconic Army & Navy store in Old Strathcona, featuring a physical indoor marketplace with limited outdoor programming from November 27 to December 20, every Friday, Saturday and Sunday! The market will also be offering a series of online demonstrations, tastings, performances, and story times! Let me know if you would like to interview the organizers and preview this year's market.
