A good "I forgor 💀" really gets me going, so no puns for this week! A sigh of relief from everyone, I know.
Sorry to remind everyone, but it's almost time to go back to school! I'd love to see everyone at The Gateway office or somewhere else on campus haha.
No more stalling, so here are your pitches for this week!
Recurring Columns:
The Hobby Hole: Tell us about any unique hobbies you have or give a fresh take on an old favourite. It could be a passion project or an activity you do when you want to lay back, unplug your brain, and watch the hours fly by.
Paddling up the Livestream: Wax lyrical about your favourite livestreams, put us onto some hidden-away gems, or give your hot-takes on livestream culture!
The First Time: Try something totally new and write about your experience. It could be a cuisine you’ve heard great things about, an unfamiliar type of music, or an activity you've never tried before. Tell us about it all from the POV of a complete novice.

Pitches for the Week:
Attend Fringe Theatre's "Together We Fringe" which is now pay what you can, or check out their new venue for Indigenous theatre!The event will be running from August 12 - 22, and is in celebration of Edmonton Fringe's 40th anniversary. There will be live and digital programming for a variety of events, and all events have become "pay what you will" rather than set prices!Additionally, there has been a tipi erected today that will be up until August 22nd to support Indigenous theatre and the new Indigenous venue.Let me know if you're interested in attending, or interviewing someone involved!
Jazz Around Town is running from the 19th to the 22nd. There are plenty of different artists being featured at multiple venues.
