What time is it? IT'S ARTS 'N CULTURE PITCHES TIME!

IT'S PITCHES O' CLOCK, Y'ALL. Note: yes, the sizing and spacing of the text is messed up. Yes, it's all bold for some reason. No, I did not do this intentionally. No, I have not figured out how to fix it. Culture on Film: The Lost Years Screening and Dialogue Kenda Gee's masterful documentary about Chinese Canadian history is being screened tomorrow in Education North 2-111. The event is running 12:00-3:00 p.m., and features a panel discussion of Chinese Canadian heritage experts and filmmakers. Let me know ASAP if you'd like to write a quick recap and commentary piece about the film and panel. Shakespeare's Sirens Send in the Girls Burlesque is remounting their hit show Shakespeare's Sirens, which depicts the Bard himself on trial before Queen Elizabeth I for his representation of women, on September 28 and 29 at the Capitol Theatre in Fort Edmonton Park. Let me know if you'd like to write a review, and I'll try to arrange a media comp! Edmonton International Film Festival The Edmonton International Film Festival begins next week! I'd like to do blitz of reviews, as there are 170 films to see. Let me know if you'd like to review some shows, and I'll assemble a crack team! Brian Webb Dance Company presents Attakalari's Bhinna Vinyasa

It's a contemporary Indian dance show which "explores metaphysical journeys prompted by internal and external forces resulting in profound changes in the lives of individuals and communities." (After all, we live in a society.) The show hits Triffo Theatre in Allard Hall on October 5 and 6. We could do a preview (perhaps interviewing Brian Webb, or the minds behind Attakalari if they're available), and/or a review.
